Well, the trap works. Caught a junco by accident. Luckily it does a good job of 'live catching'
With my sourdough practice, I made some small rolls, which turned out looking quite good, but end up getting pretty hard after a day or so. we discovered that after freezing, to thaw them quickly and make them very pleasantly soft, steaming them for a few minutes works great.
and more sourdough-ness: the local honey in our wonderful honey pot tastes fabulous on the bread.
and, in case you're wondering how much firewood goes into firing the earth oven to burn the bread. The handle I put on my 2 wheeled cart makes it a much handier way to haul brush piles around.
