So, I thought they'd turn a lot darker with the repeated oiling. I guess not. They don't look this stark in real life; the camera seems to make them lighter colored.
They worked out pretty well... I guess they open and close, and hold stuff, so it's an accomplishment. I just don't feel like they are as good as they possibly could be, but I guess I can't complain for only working on it a little while.

Age and patina are very difficult to reproduce. Personally, I think you did a heck of a job on the fit.
